"Best cheesesteaks in TX in my opinion. Being originally from Pennsylvania, we haven't found anything even close to being better than Mikey's.

"Relaxing atmosphere with music playing & some decor but not overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive when ordering and serving. The Brotherly Love sandwich was delicious (still sort of drooling regarding the sautéed mushrooms).

"Absolute best cheesesteak we’ve had in TX and rivals our favorites in Philly! My husband is from Philly and we have been missing a legit cheesesteak. It did not disappoint! We would give Mikey’s 10 stars if we could! Do yourself a favor and head to Mikey’s for an otherworldly cheesesteak experience!

About Us
Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, specifically Delaware County (better known by the locals as DELCO), Mikey always envisioned himself becoming an entrepreneur. Having worked in various kitchens throughout his high school career Mikey hardly showed any interest in continuing down that path upon graduating. For years he had various labor jobs until he eventually started his own garage door service company. Feeling unfulfilled in that venture, and ready for something new he made some drastic changes that would lead him down a different path.

In 2016 Mikey made the bold decision to leave his family and friends behind as he charted a course for Austin Texas in search for a brighter future. In 2017 Michael met his now wife and co-owner Amber Correnti. They welcomed their daughter in 2021, and in 2022 moved to his wife’s hometown of Seguin Texas. After several months of living in Seguin, Mikey quickly realized how difficult it was to find an authentic Philly cheesesteak considering the closest shop was 40 minutes away. Coming to the realization that cheesesteak shops in Seguin and the surrounding towns were effectively non-existent, Mikey began to ponder over one simple question, “how many others are missing out?”.

As time went on the idea of opening a cheesesteak shop began to consume Mikey but with having a family to support and bills to pay it made opening a restaurant feel more like a pipe dream. But little did Michael know, in April of 2023 his life was about to change. Right as he was laid off he was presented with an opportunity that would allow him to turn his dream into a reality.

AND SO... Mikey’s Philly Cheesesteaks was born!
